You will also learn about the many ways of sending a lot of visitors to your site. For example, via blogging, podcasting, viral marketing (whether it will be in the form of text and images, or through audio and video), and social bookmarking (tag and ping).

In the past, achieving online visibility by ranking high in search engines was done by expert individuals who would create thousands of web pages. Or it was a team effort spread across various experienced web site owners or bloggers who pooled their authoritative sites and sent links to whichever site they wanted to promote.

Nowadays, however, you simply cannot get by with just the efforts of a few. Concepts such as the tipping point and the wisdom of crowds herald the latest evolution in search engine marketing.

You can't do it all alone. No, not even with your modest circle of friends.

You need to involve hundreds of other people. Strangers, or rather, unmet friends. You need to engage the audio-visual generation with podcasts or even videoblogs.

Over the coming weeks, InMyEar.com will be an on-going experiment in modern search engine marketing. The information will be delivered in multimedia format. The podcast will contain the basic information found in this site, plus a few snippets that will have a Filipino or Pinoy flavor, because the site administrator is from the Philippines.
